And while many now offer Company Picnic Packages, not every venue is designed to provide all the elements important to addressing the true objectives. When planning a company picnic it’s important to remember the underlying theme is certainly getting the workforce to socialize together and create positive, shared memories outside of the workplace. Ultimately your picnic or team-building workshop strives to create a happier and more loyal workforce that feels appreciated and respected. Choosing The Right Venue will promote interaction of company employees outside of the workplace and also will use the gathering as an opportunity for coworker’s families and for the families of employees to meet. A properly planed event fosters an environment where employees at different levels of the company’s hierarchy have opportunity to socialize and for upper level management to be more visible and accessible outside the company walls.

So the polls are in and the tally has been made, the symbol that invokes the most American Pride is the ever flying American Flag. We asked our fans, friends and anyone we know to help us narrow it down, with pride inspiring symbols such as Mount Rushmore, The Statue of Liberty and The White House being the most iconic landmarks that symbolize American pride, the flag won our over any other suggestion. With raving revues, we asked why and we were answered that the American Flag flying high creates that self-assurance, that confidence and that American pride inside that so families, friends, and soldiers around the world feel. We want to share our 2011 season with you in the American pride way, so we have made sure we have the best All American treats that anyone could ask for, coupled with our American Pride farm adventure, you are in for a rare treat that will create smiles from ear to ear.

Just some of our 2011 Liberty Ridge Farm All American Treats
Candy Apples -
Caramel apples are a traditional autumn treat in the United States, especially popular with children around Halloween. Fresh apples are impaled on wooden sticks and dipped in sticky, sweet caramel. We all had them as kids and the love of them never fades.
Cider Donuts -
Walking through the cornstalks as the fall leaves are changing colors; it is a favorite fall memory. But just as fine, is the memory of Cider Donuts on the farm, the smell of golden fresh apple cider donuts still warm inside, make most people melt in their tracks.
Apple Cider -
You cannot replace a fresh glass of Apple Cider, each drink is crafted with american pride for your consumption. Some history on cider, Apple Cider increased steadily during the eighteenth century, due in part to the efforts of the legendary Johnny Appleseed, who planted many apple trees in the Midwest.
Home Grown Delicious Popcorn -
a freshly popped bag of popcorn is a treat that nearly everyone enjoys. We grow each kernel with pride and pop it fresh on the farm each time you visit.
Homemade Fudge -
Homemade fudges has never tasted this divine! Homemade fudge from Liberty Ridge Farm is a truly delightful confection.
Delicious Cheeseburgers -
An American Cheeseburger is an affirmation of the total indulgence that a burger as a whole represents.
Saratoga Fries -
1853 George Crum invents the Saratoga Chip, a thin French fry, now known as the potato chip , and at Liberty Ridge Farm you can have a fresh batch cooked to order. Nothing better than fresh cooked Saratoga Chips a true American Snack !

Our team building events will:
Motivate active participation

Involve creative problem-solving
Now more than ever team-building helps management and employees understand The Team Concept, it opens lines of communication as a foundation and sharpens the communication skills and techniques. Management can understand their role as a team leaders and sharpen team goal setting for increased motivation and output. We also help management understand team members and team dynamics while they practice, discuss and problem solve.
The funny thing about team building is that its like a cardiologist everyone knows they exist but no one really knows what they do. Ask an employee or a key manager to describe what team building is ? Most likely they know it makes people work better together but how ? No one wants to admit they need help to communicate , that would mean they admit to flaws in the current system. This can be over come by simply having breakout sessions during your company picnic as fun exercises. Liberty Ridge can accommodate small groups to large companies all under one roof.
Do you employees or managers know the true definition of team?
According to Webster’s Ninth Edition “ A team is a number of person associated together in work or activity:as a group on one side (as in football or debate) this means that your manager and your employees cannot do the task alone, they must cooperate communicate and coordinate in an efficient team.
Why Teams Work
A good team initiates change, when members of the organization at the top tap the source of valuable information in the team , task can be accomplished more efficiently. This leads to innovation and avoids stagnation. Teams are a natural problem solving device, with open communication teams collaborate and encounter problems and provide solutions at earlier stages that leads to greater success and efficiency. A company’s bast assets are its team member, each has a specific talent that once combined with the team creates individuals joined by common goals.
Company Picnics, Team-Building and Corporate vents all have a unique twist at Liberty Ridge Farm. When a company chooses a location for their company picnic they can opt to have a break out session for management in a team atmosphere to boost communication and collaboration outside of the office.Call Liberty Ridge Farm today to schedule your team building workshop or your company picnic with breakout sessions We are here to help, 518-664-1515 or visit http://www.libertyridgefarmny.com/teambuilding.html

Here, in the Albany Capital District of NY, companies hold their picnics typically beginning in June through early October. When choosing the date considerations such as your company’s workflow, availability of a desired venue, etc., will help you determine the date. Employees are less apt to be away on vacation in June or September, but they will really enjoy the chance to kick back in July or August. There are always pros and cons to scheduling a picnic weekday versus weekend picnics. Company picnics or Corporate Events held during a workweek will ensure a greater attendance for employees when they would normally be in the office. This is one of the last steps in planning your company picnic and you are almost to the finish line
Entertainment and age appropriate activities and games
In previous posts we talked about trying to choose a location that had entertainment included, now we know that isn’t always possible so if you chose a venue without entertainment, make it a point to supply many activities. We always suggest hiring Entertainers such as DJs, caricature artists, Tarot card readers, magicians, face painters, clowns are just some of the most popular choices. One of the most successful ways to build a great event is to offer Door prizes, these gifts are a cherished company picnic idea at many firms. Door prizes work both as employee appreciation and an incentive for the employees to linger. Most employees will stay with spouse and kids until after the gifts are awarded which helps keep your picnic lively until the very end. Some Examples of some prizes I’ve seen include certificate good for a dinner for two at a local restaurant, gift certificate at a local department store, depending on your theme you can included some seasonal specific gifts or even a day off with pay.
With these tips to consider before booking your company picnic, you should be able to plan you event with ease and excitement.
And Liberty Ridge Farm has all things under one roof so if you still looking , consider us !
Stay tuned for Tip #5 the best tip of all !
Making the Plan
There are event planning companies and there are venues that have event coordinators that can assist you with every aspect of your company picnic…even providing you with company picnic ideas. Now you have covered all the basics of your budget, who you are inviting , and the preferred distance you want to stay within. Thinking ahead will you have to hire entertainment or an event coordinator? Choosing the venue that provides all the services for your company picnic is often the easiest route to take. You still maintain control over the event and can set the theme and other specifics. Working with only one company rather than a host of providers makes coordination of food, entertainment, theme and details seamless.
Now is the time to finalize the food. Looking at all the options, and the invites determines what kind of food you are looking to provide. You will have options of venues that cater their own events and venues that have networks of caterers that cater for them. Choosing the food can be modestly difficult, do you want hot dogs for kids and ribs for parents? Will the kids really eat ribs ? So knowing your attendees makes this task extremely easy, and this is when a coordinator is extremely valuable. Coordinators have planned numerous events and share beneficial experience that can help steer clear of costly decisions. Liberty Ridge Farm makes it so easy for small groups and large companies to plan their event, with our on-site coordinator. With our single point of contact, you have the inside line to our organization, once you set the date, decide on food and send the invites, we plan all the other details of your event. Take a deep breath and relax knowing Liberty Ridge Farm has some of the best event menus that will WOW your attendees. From mouthwatering barbecue packages to Hamburgers and Hot Dogs we customize to your specific tastes and your groups needs.
With amazing food, ease of planning and customizable entertainment in every corner of the farm we ensure your event planning with us is a pleasurable experience.
